If you have a developed Film Project, complete or semi-finished Screenplay, Financing, and an attached Director, then utilize this section to pitch your fiction or non-fiction to secure funds, partners, post-production support, and soft funding from Financers, Film Funds, Producers, and Co-Producers.

Pitch a Script

You have a 1,000-word story idea or a full script, this section is meant for you to sell your story idea to a OTT Platform, Producer, Production Houses, or a Director for a Film, Web Series, Documentary. Be it fiction or non-fiction, short or feature length, the Script can be pitched in this section.

Are you ready with your Script, but looking for funds? 

​Diorama Pitchfest is a place where new film projects are nurtured. The Fifth Diorama Film Bazaar hosts a three-day-long Film Market. Scores of experienced international producers, film financiers, and film distributors, as well as representatives from funding bodies and sales agents, initiate international co-productions. The Pitchfest takes place Online, but participants can visit the market physically to network with other delegates.

Participants are mentored by a group of experienced film professionals from various countries and regions to help them fine-tune the Scripts and Film Projects to be pitched.  Post mentoring, Scripts and Film projects are pitched to Film Producers, Financiers, Distributors, Film Funds etc. through Quick Matching.

The entry is limited to the submission of Scripts for Feature Length Films, Web Series & and Television Series. The Scripts are open to all languages, regions, countries, genres and formats. The Diorama Pitchfest shall Select and Certify a limited number of projects, having a huge potential for possible Co-Production, Finance, and an International Release.

Quick Matching

Renowned Producers, Directors brief the participants on the opportunities available globally and the choices of possible roadmaps to realize the film projects through Webinars and physical group meetings, allowing them to fine tune their Scripts and film projects to be pitched. 

At Quick Matching sessions, participating producers can develop new contacts during informal online meetings to widen their contact sphere and brighten the chances of funding of the film project.

Submission Guidelines

Registered participants are required to fill 'DIORAMA PITCHFEST Form 2024' sent by Diorama Film Bazaar

  1. Your application must be submitted in the English language only, regardless of the final language of the film.

  2. Signed Certificate from the applicant that he/ she agrees to film’s participation in the Diorama Film Bazaar.

  3. Once the project is selected shortlisted participants will be asked to send their scripts (with dialogues, 90 – 100 pages).

  4. Once the project is selected, either the Producer or the Director of the project must be available for all five days of the Co-Pro Market.

  5. Multiple projects can be submitted, but each project has to be submitted individually. Only one project of either the Director or the Producer will be selected.

  6. Applications shall be processed only after receipt of the application fee.

  7. The Co-Pro Film Market recognizes only the Director(s) and Producer(s) mentioned in the application form as project representatives who will be allowed to be present at Co-Pro Market, and feature in the catalogue. Any removal or replacement in the team after selection will disqualify the project.

  8. The maximum number of representatives per project who can address the webinar/Presentation is limited to two.

  9. The information on the application form cannot be edited once submitted.

  10. The decision of the Director, Diorama Film Bazaar on the selection of an application will be final and binding.

  11. The Diorama Film Bazaar reserves the right to invite a project.

  12. The Diorama Film Bazaar reserves the right to change Terms & Conditions of the programs without prior intimation.

  13. The applicant has to send the complete Script, Powerpoint/video pitch (in support of the submitted project for presentation) within the one week of notification to Diorama Film Bazaar.

  14. Materials required at the time of project Submission:

         For Film Projects / Web Series/ Docs

       - Synopsis (300- 1000 words max.)

       - Complete Script of the film / Web Series/ Doc

      - Treatment of the film – how do you plan to shoot and edit (400 words max.)

      - Budget Outline & Financing Plan

      - Proof of Funds in hand (Any One the following: Bank Statement, Letter of Intent, Letter of Commitment from Funding Agencies, Letter of Guarantee)

      - Director's Photo (500KB Max)

      - Producer's Photo (500KB Max)

      - Project Poster in High Quality (If Available)

      - Cast-Crew details (Confirmations shall help your case)

         For Script Writers

       - The Completed Script

       - Synopsis (300-500 Words)

       - Biodata and a Photograph of the Writer

15. Rights of admission reserved to Diorama Film Bazaar.

Funding for film is always an important and crucial part of filmmaking. At Diorama Film Bazaar you will meet potential co-producer for film and finding finance for the film will be an exciting journey.

  • What is Open Pitch?
    Open Pitch is an Online presentation where participants pitch their projects to an audience of invited industry professionals.
  • What is Video Pitch?
    Selected participants can present their film concept in the form of a trailer or a short video film, not more than 5 minutes in duration.
  • Can my Producer’s representative participate in the Bazaar meetings?
    Yes. The Producer(s) (or authorized representative) and the Director(s) will be allowed to represent the project.
  • Can I remove, replace or add another producer to the project after my selection?
    Yes. You can remove or replace any team member (director/producer) after the selection. All changes are required to be communicated to Diorama Film Bazaar Team.
  • How many team members can attend the Pitchfest one-on-one meetings at a time?
    Diorama Film Bazaar allows only two representatives per project at the Mentoring and the Online Quick matching Sessions. The Diorama Film Bazaar recognizes only the Director(s) and Producer(s) mentioned in the application as project representatives who will be allowed to be present. All changes are required to be communicated to the Pitchfest Team.
  • I have many producers attached to my project. If selected, how can the third producer attend Pitchfest?
    Additional producers are welcome to attend Diorama Film Bazaar as delegates and use other networking opportunities available.
  • Can I apply with more than one project?
    At Diorama Film Bazaar, one can enter more than one film project by paying separate fee for each of these.
  • I am an individual ready with a Script/Story with no Producer or Director. Can I apply?
    Yes, you can apply for ‘Pitch a Script’ where only the Script is required to submit.
  • Can I apply as an individual or do only Companies can apply?
    Yes, you may apply as an individual. However, an association with a company or having a company with some history should help your application as international production companies, Film Funds, Producers, Distributors etc. may like to contract a legitimate company/organization for any financial support. Please get in touch with us if you need guidance.
  • What is a Story Outline?
    The Story Outline is the summary of all the Plot Points. This must be less than 300 words. You can be as creative as you can be to communicate the idea.
  • What is a Log Line?
    The Log Line is a short description of the story in less than 30 words.
  • Do you require both the story outline and the script for submission?
    The Script can be submitted after Project Registration but in any case, before the last deadline.
  • What documents do I need to present as proof for the 10% of finances available?
    You need to present one of the following: 1. An irrevocable Agreement with your Producer stating that the requisite Finance is available for use by your company. 2. This is not a mandatory requirement but will improve your chances.
  • Do Short films and Short Documentary projects apply?
    Diorama Pitchfest considers Feature Films, Feature Length Documentaries and Web Series only.
  • My project has been through another Film Market, may I also apply for Diorama Pitchfest?
    Yes.
  • When will the selected projects be announced?
    The selection for Diorama Pitchfest will be announced on 31st January 2024.
  • What should I do in case of payment failure using my card or online gateways?
    Please drop us a mail quickly at: bazaar@diorama.in.
  • Is the Application Fee refundable?
    No, the application fee is non-refundable.
